As a pre-primary teacher, I feel children need to be ready for learning in senior classes, and for that to be acquired, each and every child should be taught accordingly. But if this has to be done, our education system needs to be changed not only on paper but in real sense too. For reference I would to like to mention that pupil-teacher ratio should be strictly followed pan India.

As a Pre-primary teacher, I provide opportunities to children wherein they play and enjoy learning new things.
In the primary and secondary classes they have a common set of instructions and fixed testing schedules. This is cause of time-constrain and syllabus completion.
In learner-centered approach we as teachers tend to achieve all-round development. We provide opportunities wherein the child does the activities that he / she enjoys. The child is more involved with his peers and learns to solve problems.

Children get actively involved and enthusiastic when they are presented with activities which challenge them. Interactive worksheets, quizzes, PowerPoint presentations by students, peer teaching, activities which allow kinaesthetic movements and artistic effort find eager response. So, these kinds of shifts are being practiced by myself and other teachers in our school. Evaluation parameters are also shifting to other modes but slowly.
