ReplyDeleteSoon after the child reaches school,he should be monitored for his trimmed nails,washed and ironed uniform,properly washed and combed hair. His school bag,water bottle should also be clean. He should be washing hands properly after using washroom every time and before and after eating the tiffin. He should also be asked about night brushing habits too

ReplyDeleteRight from getting up early in the morning to going to sleep at night, the hygiene is an integral part of a child. It should be a discipline that should naturally sink into his/her life. Cleanliness in and around the physical body. Cleaning the bed, brushing, facewash, hand wash, toilet cleanliness, wearing tidy clothes/uniforms to shoes, to keeping the nails, hair clean, the personal things need to be kept in order and clean are very important aspects of cleanliness. Keeping of tissues/napkins, disposing them off. Also a very important aspect is keeping mental hygiene by meditating, practicing patience, listening to good thoughts/words, etc.

For example: brushing of teeth twice daily, taking bath daily, trimming of nails, washing of hands before and after the meals and also after using the toilets/washroom. The children can also be monitored during their playtime, how do they clean their hands after playing with sand and clay or after using colors, covering their mouths while sneezing with handkerchief etc.

ReplyDeleteAs an educator it's my responsibility to ensure following things to be followed on daily basis to ensure proper health and well-being of the learner is maintained.
1. Clean, tidy and neat school uniform.
2. Bathing habits, oral hygiene, proper haircut and nails to be trimmed and clean.
3. School bag must also be neat and clean.
4. Washing of hands and face at regular intervals of time especially before and after the meals and ensuring no child touches his mouth area to maintain hygiene.
5.Proper toilet etiquettes to be followed.
6 Having an eye on the toilet and general wash area.
7.Checking for clean inner clothes which usually they miss to wear or are dirty.
Handwashing, grooming the finger nails, oral hygeine, a handkerchief every students should keep, classroom cleaning, food hygeine.
