ReplyDeleteThough the PTMs play very vital role in our life. (Teaching learning life), but during this pendamic it's impossible to have one.
Burst if the situation is normal then best if we could have at least once after every Term Test.
According to my opinion PTM is very much necessary for the interaction of parents and teachers. Without PTM they will unable to find time to sit together and discuss about students overall performances and on every aspect regarding students. So parents should regularly attend all PTM and help teachrs to work in a right direction to improve their children. Therefore, PTM should be made compulsory for all parents. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteParents are the first teachers of children and teachers are the second parents of the children. It is of utmost importance for this very reason that both the stakeholders work like hand in glove to help children reach their highest potential. One very powerful and effective method in achieving this is to have regular and meaningful Parent Teacher Meetings [ PTM ]. Regular PTMs will enable the teachers to give regular feedback of the children to their parents and also take the feedback of parents on various issues at hand. The more frequently such meetings are held , more transparency and clarity is gained by the parents and teachers and both parties or stakeholders realise that they both have a common goal and a common subject. These meetings need not always have an agenda. There can also be informal meetings between the parents and school . After all , school is nothing but an extension of home.
Organising PTMs on regular intervals is very important. Through PTMs parents and teachers can share the feedback about the progress of the child and can also come up with some possible solutions/ways for further improvement in the child.
ReplyDeletePTMs should be conducted monthly in order to share views among the teachers and the parents regarding the child's development and the remedies for the issues the parents face at home with respect to the FLN mission.Parents should also be actively involved in the school's activities like sports day celebration or book or science exhibition or annual day celebration to explore their ideas and help them to flourish their child in a better way.Parents teachers association is another platform to head towards the same.
ReplyDeleteNEELU ARORA - PTMs are held on monthly basis. Discussions are held about all round development of the child with respect to his academic progress, participation in Co-curricular Activities, his aptitudes, initiatives, creativity etc. Yes, discussion with parents are held in different domains like their own interests and talents, their way of grooming their child at home, what issues they have and how they can be handled collectively to have productive results. Yes, many a times parents have certain issues regarding behaviour, confidence and communication with the child. They're invited to work collaboratively so that proper care of child at home as well as at school must be ensured. For instance, if the child behaves irresponsibly at home in a certain manner, then parents could be guided to involve the child in discussion and giving suggestions in handling, managing and maintaining particular things to make them work better. Now if the child's suggestions are valued at home he eventually gets aware of his own irresponsible behaviour and gradually works towards behaving differently.

ReplyDeleteFor early years, every school should have PTMs quarterly to discuss the hobbies, interests, schedules, habits, preferences and competencies. General concerns of parents are eating habits, physical engagements and reading-writing. Teachers are always concerned about follow- up activities. These updates, if shared regularly would remove the anxieties of the parents and teachers. Also, positive feedbacks would motivate the students to work harder.
ReplyDeleteAs a child the first person with whom the child interacts are the parents and the community. The first teacher of a child are the parents. The next step is when the child seeks admission in school. Hence the next second teacher of the child is the school teacher with whom the child slowly but gradually starts interacting. To know and understand the needs and abilities of the child it is very essential that regular PTM's be conducted wherein with an exchange of the views and behavioural patterns in the child. The different patterns followed at home and at school can be summarised and enhance the growth of a child.

ReplyDeletePTMs have always been a powerful method for communication.
It's good to organize it monthly in general but for some learners it requires quarterly communication between parents and teachers so as they can ponder and stress at those points necessary for uplifting the child's learning.
Moreover conducting PTM frequently helps the parents who possess lots of queries. Especially some parents who have no educational background face a lot of problems, some have attitude that schools is not teaching properly, some say they don't have time as both r wrking and have a nuclear family.
In such above mentioned scenario as an educator it becomes very important responsibility to sort out the problem in the best way.
As an educator one can give extra time/classes for learners whose family lack educational experience.
Can speak politely and make
parents having attitude understand that importance of FLN skills and take them into confidence by regular meeting and connecting with the family by visiting home. S
For nuclear family with parents working teacher can give small worksheets based on activities or play way method consuming less time so that parents can get it done without stress.
The main aim as FLN skill must be given importance whatever strategy is planned both by parents and teachers.
Ptm's are very helpful in the progress of each child, in case of some parents this only method to reach into students goals.
