Yes, it's very natural that children have a natural tendency for learning, especially with their mother tongue. The early years journey starts with reflexes, stimuli, gestures, imitation....and slowly inclined with the learning words and start to understand how the sounds within language work together. These words fit in different ways and mould the shape of phrases and small sentences. With the continuous gaining of experiences through conversation, interaction, exploration, rhymes, songs, stories, talks, and many other ways lead children with speech emergence. Grapho-phonics awareness, semantics, syntax and pragmatics work with the continuous involvement of the children in LSRW activities. As the thought processes and experience brook with the river of mother tongue, the continuous further more stimuli in this language make the foundational literacy and numeracy stage more fertile to lead the other learning ahead on it.
Learning multiple languages is a blessing. In the Indian scenario, our children are blessed as they learn 2 to 4 languages in school which could be apart from their own mother tongue. Knowing and speaking different languages gives children freedom to be able to communicate and language is no longer a barrier for them.

This is the language that will be heard spoken among st the common people, and used to define and identify the groups of people. The Vernacular Language impacted and changed the cultures during the early centuries. Some of the main factors contributed and were responsible for the rise and spread of the vernacular language were demand of spreading religion, demand of education, and the need of a commonly spoken language for the literature to be produced in to be available to all. Vernacular Language is still important for the more effective development of the country and for involving each and every part in the development. Importance of vernacular language can be understood by the words of former President of India Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam who once said that science education should be imparted to children in vernacular language to bring creativity and enable easy grasp of the subject. He advised teachers to bring out creativity in children and teach them science in their mother-tongue. Kalam advised teachers to make children employment generators and not mere employment seekers’.
