By learning how children and youth think can better prepare adults to communicate with them in meaningful ways. Using short, concrete phrases and listening to their response can help open up communication lines and increase competence because they become part of the conversation and solutions. Child directed free play will help children and youth become aware of their own likes, skills and competence. It will encourage exploration, imagination and can offer a way for children and youth to de-stress.
Learning outcome can be achieved by systematic planning in phased manner with the teachers, school leader,parents and all other stake holders.The theme based method and stories or poem or play way methods are all effective methods to implement Foundational literacy and numeracy with children of 3 to 9 years of age. Depending on their age, different methods could be applied. Instead of quantitative assessment,we should target qualitative assessment without pressure of performance. It should be interactive, more action based and activity based assessment to attain maximum growth in FLN
As a teacher, I would try to use different pedagogical methods of teaching like play way methods and theme based method using one theme to teach two or more topics in an interesting manner. Also I would ensure to avoid chalk and talk method as it leads to monotonous teaching and children may lose interest in the learning process. So it is vital to ensure that age appropriate techniques are utilized for the children to make them understand and enjoy Foundational Literacy and Numeracy.
I will insure the same by offering consistent, stable, nurturing, and protective relationships that support development and learning across domains and enable children to fully engage in learning opportunities.
Clearly designed strategies which make learning natural and joyful would help children achieve competencies in a seemly effortless way. Kinesthetically involving children in activities keep them alert and eager to learn.
I will ensure that students are able to express themselves without fear or hesitancy. Providing them with joyful, fun learning experience where they can enjoy and learn and be creative while performing task.

The individual, pair and group games will promote to develop competencies to sustain their learning by staking it with newer experiences or learning.

Pedagogies like theme based approach, play based approach, activity based approach by creating and developing learning activity areas, Sports integrated approach, ICT integrated approach and project and enquiry based approach would be into practice on daily basis so that child feels confident, safe and is able to relate it to its own world. Child finds space for pace , errors so that child can achieve its full potential. And all this is only possible if everything is pre-planned keeping in mind the child to be the centre of attention.
To ensure the achievement of learning competencies of children in the 3-9 years age group, we need to focus on the child's interests, through them we can playfully teach students. Instead of bookish language, we can teach through music or dance or utilising other artful ways.
