ReplyDeleteTeaching and learning are two sides of the same coin. As the world is changing rapidly so, does the need of incorporating ICT in the curriculum has become a priority. ICT is not just important for the higher grades but it has found its roots in the preparatory years of the students. Children are now well aware of the usage of gadgets at their homes , it is not difficult for them anymore to incorporate learning through ICT. Teachers can provide "live worksheets " , videos and other learning material to the students and encourage e-learning wherever possible. The Pandemic time has seen that education can be continued if the e- resources are used in feasible manner.

ReplyDeleteICT allows us teachers to record, manipulate and share assessment data from time to time. As we move from diagnostic to formative to summative assessment, learning curve can easily be tracked using ICT. It also allows parents to also share their observations in the form of audio or video recordings of the children. The Assessment record gets stored in students' portfolio and year after year, there are observations which get recorded in the portfolio, moving from foundational stage to preparatory stage and so on.

As it involves use of all SENSE ORGANS it imparts the knowledge to the maximum to its viewers.
Especially at the early Foundational stage when the brain is high receptive and creative it imparts s platform to young kids to explore, create , analyze and think creatively. Their imaginative thinking increases leading to overall development of the children.
It increases the world knowledge of children. Helps teachers to create,store and share it to the class ,so that they can view it as MANY TIMES they want it to understand the concept in a better way.
As we have seen that stakeholders play a important role in FLN. ICT provides a platform to teachers and parents to connect each other and make a relationship which leads to holistic development of child.
