    1. Its absolutely the right approach to involve parents in the development and smooth functioning of FLN programmes. One difficulty which we may face, is when students are unable to followup the in the implementation of FLN at home because sometimes they miss out on instructions and parents may not have enough knowledge regarding the activities and concepts .The fun workshops mentioned and once a fortnight updation from school/teacher side regarding the programmes can keep a close tab on the progress and nature of the ongoing process.

It's important to involve all in the progressment of a child. But when sometimes it fails like children and parents not being able to fulfill the things which the teacher wants for the development of the child, and the administration too.
In such cases only coming together to solve the problem works best and at the earliest.

  8. It is a great idea to involve parents and communities for the progress of the FLN mission. One of the challenges might be faced if parents themselves are uneducated or are too busy to get involved with their children. For this schools may try giving them solutions relevant to their situations so that their involvement increases.

There is always a solution to every problem one encounters , provided one is open minded and has flexibility in thinking. One often comes across few problems like bridging the gap between what is done in class and what can be done in continuation at home. Effective communication between the teachers and parents under the guidance of the school Principal and various stakeholders will help in bridging this gap. through various workshops and meetings the parents can be made aware of what can be done and how it can be done at home using the resources available at home. SAC can also be roped in to act as a mediator between the school and parents thereby creating a feeling of oneness and belongingness in all , which will lead in the achievement of the common goal which is the holistic development of children.

  12. In order to meet the objectives of FLN ,involvement of parents is very important in a child's early learning years. For efficient learning to take place ,parents need to revise the work done in school. parents should attend the PTMs organised by the school and can get to know the areas where they need to work with their child for improvement.

  16. NEELU ARORA - As we know every child has a unique window of his own through which he experiences and understands this world. For instance some are outspoken but may demand more clarity about things whereas some may be introvert but might be absolutely clear about things etc. Now let's take an example of a child who's writing is extremely slow, so most of the times he misses the information, explanation and interaction held by the teacher, now here because of his extremely slow handwriting he misses to listen, to understand, to participate and to experience everything which is a big loss for him. Now if in such case the teacher practice some writing speed improving techniques with the child in the classroom and shares the same with the parents to be practiced at home, that can result in much improved speed of writing as well as potential listening of the child in class which can open a door for him to understand, participate, explore, experiment as well as experience everything which he was missing earlier.

Teachers must communicate with parents and family members on a regular basis both formally and informally and share updates. Teacher and parents have to be on the same page. 22. The main aim of the SMC's, Teachers, parents and various stake holders is to enhance the growth of a child and tap the innate capabilities of the children. As we take suggestions and opinions from the SMC's and various stake holders for improvement of the school, the same can be done for the growth and development. There is no problem that has no solution. If the teacher or the head of the institution is not able to get solution they should communicate either with the parents or the stake holders and get solutions for the same. Counselling the students by giving extra attention is another way of getting solutions for the problems. This can be done with the consent of the parents.

The best question asked which is faced by almost all teachers.

From my opinion following points needs to be addressed by parents:

    1. Sending of notebooks and books to school ie following Timetables.

    2. Assistance to the child at home in task assigned for home which is generally the continuation of the topic taught in that particular day in the class.

    3. Turning out on PTM or whenever called upon by the teacher.

In the following way parents can be approached :

    1. By a call or hand written note.
    2. School committee meeting to be scheduled atleast twice a month to address such parents.

    3. Telling them about the importance of FLN mission and their great role in it.

    4. Last but not the least visiting the child's home and interacting with family members can be the best solution.
